About this Event
An event has been organised in association with CII to popularize the open challenge event of NGIS & CHUNAUTI 2.0 and the Octane 2.0 among the start-ups for participation in the open challenge with their innovative ideas.
NGIS: Next Generation Incubation Scheme (NGIS) is STPI’s comprehensive incubation scheme which has a vision to drive the rise of India as a Software Product Nation so as to make India a global player in development, production and supply of Innovative, Efficient and Secure Software Products thus facilitating the growth across the entire spectrum of ICT sector as envisioned in the National Policy on Software Products (NPSP) – 2019. STPI through CHUNAUTI 2.0 is looking to identify and support promising startups with a special focus on women-led start-ups working on innovative technology products & solutions in focus sectors like Education, Healthcare & Wellness, Financed, SaaS, E-commerce, Agriculture and Environment, and give them access to networks, connects, learning and resources that are needed to build scalable, profitable and global businesses.
OCTANE: OCTANE is a group of eight internetworked Centre of Excellences (CoEs) to support technology led innovation in the North Eastern India. OCTANE provides start-ups in new and emerging technologies in the areas of electronics and IT, a robust platform for start-ups, with single umbrella support services like mentorship services, cloud computing subsidy, seed capital assistance, marketing support (including IPR protection), to develop a tinkering and innovation culture amongst students and professionals by establishing innovation zones for start-ups etc.
Open Challenge Program (OCP) is a platform where a startup gets an opportunity to solve problems through innovative solutions. The objective of Open Challenge Program (OCP) is to identity, recognize & reward aspiring and early-stage tech entrepreneurs. This platform facilitates aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators and their success through strategic networking, seed funding, mentoring, providing support for training, marketing, patenting, access to the CoE labs, tools, software and state-of-the-art incubation facility.

applications relating to Exim, Incubation and Project Management & Consultancy services. Co-ordinated for various IT events/ Trade shows such as BangaloreIT.biz, CeBIT, Bengaluru Technology Summit etc., organized by Govt. of Karnataka and co-hosted by STPI, for the promotion of software exports and various Digital India initiatives. Presently looking after the operations of STPI Imphal in the capacity of Joint Director.

Shri Shibendu Debbarma is working as Joint Director & Officer-In-Charge (OIC), STPI Agartala, Tripura. He has 10+ years of working experience in STPI in different capacities of technical team and administration. More than 11 years of teaching experience in the University. He has core interest on data Network, security, Internet technology and Internet Governance.

Kalyan is the Co-Founder & Director of InQube Innoventures, which incubates “Innovative Inclusive Initiatives”. Kalyan firmly believes that innovative and effective utilization of technology can lead to Equitable, Inclusive & Sustainable growth for the society at large.
Currently, Kalyan is involved in incubating several start-ups in the areas of Technology, Education, Healthcare, BPM, Skill Development, Data Analytics and Agriculture. Earlier, Kalyan Co-Founded an US based Healthcare Services company which was finally acquired by the World’s largest employee benefits organization for US$ 140 Million.
His ventures have won “Great Place to Work” award in India for 3 continuous years, as well as “Exciting Emerging Companies to Work for” by NASSCOM and was the All India Finalist for “NASSCOM Innovation Awards”.
Kalyan graduated from St. Xaviers’ College and is a Chartered Accountant as well as a Cost Accountant by Profession with All India Merit Rank in both the examinations. He is a regular Speaker in various Forums and is known for his business and social views and opinion in the Press, Electronic, Digital & Social Media.
Kalyan is currently in the Executive Committee of the Indian Chamber of Commerce, IT Committee of Bengal Chamber and Innovation & IT Committee of CII. He is also the Governing Body Member of Nabadiganta Industrial Township Authority (NDITA) & Vice President of the Sector V Stakeholders’ Association. Kalyan has served as the Jury for the
CII Industrial Innovation Awards, Bihar Startup Ideathon as well as WEBEL BCCI Tech Incubation Initiative. Currently he is a Mentor to the WEBEL BCCI Tech Incubation Center and is a Trustee of Sahaj Path, an initiative towards “Inclusive & Quality Education for All” & “The Boston Pledge – Asia”, which is an initiative to promote “Bengal” Globally.
Kalyan has also been a part of Government and Business Delegates to overseas countries promoting the “Make in India” & “Bengal Global Business Summit” initiatives.
