About this Event

To boost start-up ecosystem, STPI is implementing “Next Generation Incubation Scheme (NGIS)”. The scheme is being implemented at 12 locations of the country and Jaipur is one of them. Under NGIS, STPI is conducting NextGen Start-up Challenge Contest (CHUNAUTI – Challenge Hunt Under NGIS for Advanced Uninhibited Technology Intervention), to identify and support promising startups, by providing access to networks, mentorship, learning opportunities, and essential resources.

In line with our dedication to cultivating a diverse and inclusive startup ecosystem in India, STPI is introducing CHUNAUTI 7.0 especially for the women led startups working in various domains like Education, Healthcare & Wellness, Finance, DeepTech, E-commerce, Agriculture, and Environment, etc

STPI has launched CHUNAUTI 7.0 on March 08, 2024. The theme of CHUNAUTI 7.0 is to “Empowering Women Entrepreneurs to Co-create India’s Innovation Landscape”.

To spread the information and create awareness of the scheme amongst the start-ups / budding entrepreneurs, an outreach program on NGIS (CHUNAUTI 7.0) is being organised on the Friday, 15th March, 2024, at Techno Hub, Jaipur (3:30 PM onwards).

Outreach program will be hosted at Techno Hub, Jaipur, wherein Sh. Tapan Kumar, Additional Director, Department of Information Technology & Communication, Government of Rajasthan, Dr. Sheenu Jhawar, Director on the Board of Apex Hospitals & President, TiE Rajasthan, Sh. Raj Kumar Verma, Additional Director & Officer-In-Charge, STPI Rajasthan will participate as the esteemed speaker and share the insights.

Shri Tapan Kumar is an accomplished professional currently serving as the Additional Director in the Department of Information Technology & Communication for the Government of Rajasthan. In this capacity, he plays a pivotal role in spearheading the state’s digital transformation initiatives and fostering an enabling environment for technology adoption across various sectors.

As the Group Head of the iStart Rajasthan Project, Tapan Kumar leads a dynamic team dedicated to nurturing startups and fostering an ecosystem conducive to innovation and entrepreneurship. Launched in the year 2017, iStart Rajasthan is a flagship program aimed at nurturing and supporting the startup ecosystem within the state. Under Kumar’s guidance, the project has gained significant momentum, providing a comprehensive range of services and resources to aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage ventures.

As the Group Head of iStart Rajasthan, Kumar oversees the implementation of various initiatives such a as the iStart School Startup program designed to foster innovation, facilitate access to funding, and offer mentorship and networking opportunities to startups. His strategic vision and collaborative approach have been instrumental in fostering a vibrant startup culture within the state, attracting talent and investment from across the country.

Prior to the iStart Rajasthan project, Kumar has been involved in successful planning, implementation of several key initiatives of the state government during his twenty-year tenure such as the Rajasthan Health Insurance Scheme for the Dept. of Medical Health & Family Welfare, eRCMS for Food & Civil Supplies Department, GoR and several other initiatives.

Under Kumar’s leadership, the iStart Rajasthan project continues to evolve, adapting to the changing needs of the startup ecosystem and exploring new avenues for collaboration and support. His vision for a thriving and sustainable entrepreneurial landscape in Rajasthan remains a driving force behind the project’s ongoing success.


Dr. Sheenu Jhawar

Dr. Sheenu Jhawar, a Ph D and Tedx speaker in Maternal Mental Health, is Director on the Board of Apex Hospitals – a P.E. invested chain of five Super speciality hospitals across Rajasthan.
She is also in a leadership role as President, TiE Rajasthan.

She is an alumnus of IIHMR (Jaipur, India) and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine- LSHTM (UK), and has a professional experience of working as a Clinical Auditor with NHS, UK, as a Public Health Consultant under the World Bank aided project of Rajasthan Government- and as consultant with several hospitals across India and Africa.

She is also the founder of India’s first Clinical Governance consulting firm – ACE Vision. While the company was set up in 2004, as early as in 2009- it was listed among ten key National Hospital Planning firms, by India Brand Equity Foundation and E&Y.

She enjoys pursuing Scientific writing and academics, and has presented papers at IIT-Kharagpur, AIIMS, Delhi, and Hospital Management Asia, Manila, Philippines, amongst others.
She has been a regular contributor to “Express Healthcare Management” newspaper of the Indian Express group, and in various other peer reviewed scientific journals including ‘BMJ- South Asia’, ‘Healthcare for Women International’ etc.

She is a member of the International Marce’ Society for Perinatal Mental Health, and is very keen to mainstream mental health and raise awareness on Depression.
She is passionate about the Start-up ecosystem and mentors starts ups regularly

Additional Director & Officer In-Charge STPI Rajasthan

Shri Raj Kumar Verma, Additional Director & Officer-In-Charge, STPI, Rajasthan is responsible for implementing STP & EHTP scheme and various initiatives to promote & support the IT/ITeS industry in the State.

He has more than 17 years of experience in supporting the industry by way of implementing the schemes and other activities.

He has provided consultancy services for the implementation of SWAN in the State of Karnataka.
Prior to joining STPI, he served as lecturer at Engineering Colleges. He is M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering.
